UPDATE

With 92% of the precincts accounted for and a hefty 5,850 vote differential, news today that Madison County's Board of Election has confirmed that Doug Hoffman received zero counted votes in three of its fifty-five election districts is unlikely to cause the Conservative candidate in yesteday's Special Election in the 23rd Congressional District to rescind his concession speech.
But it does raise eyebrows among election watchers who heard numerous accounts of election day malfunctions of a new voting machine system that was in place yesterday.
578 votes in those three election districts were counted for Scozzafava, but they were probably cast for Hoffman. Counting those votes for Hoffman rather than Scozzafava would reduce Hoffman's vote deficit from 5,850 to 5,272, still not nearly enough to call the outcome into question.
The unofficial vote count for each of the fifty-five election districts in the county was released today and can be viewed here.
The three election districts where the vote count is in question are the Town of Fenner 1st District, Town of Hamilton 3rd District, and Town of Sullivan 2nd District.
